I’m Rauwrer D’tor, Gar’s brother.
Gar started hounding me to add an introduction here, so I thought I’d shut him up.
I’m a few years younger than Gar. I’ve heard a lot of stories about his antics over the past few years and decided to see what the life was like.
I’m typically lurking around Ul’dah in Eorzea. One of the weird things is that I inhabit a world called Adamantoise. It makes it a bit of a hassle to go see Gar but, thanks to the mind-boggling Aetherites, it isn’t that difficult. I’m looking forward to the day that I might be able to permanently relocate to Faerie but I don’t know when that will be.
I, too, am a foundling. People are shocked when they hear us call each other brother … You see, I’m a Hrothgar.
In hindsight, Michel and Ash are great parents. I didn’t always feel that way. As with most, I went through a rebellious period. But that is now behind me, and I’ve developed a close relationship with my parents.
When Gar started as an adventurer, he did like he does with most things, dove in and just kept running. He was all about the next adventure and didn’t pay much attention to what was going on around him.
I’m a bit more studious. While I don’t know what the future holds, I’m hoping to go at this adventuring thing more methodically and studiedly than Gar did.
As is his way, Gar chose to try an Archer, found it to be adequate, and ran with it. He quickly leveled up to Bard and is now classified among that elite group titled “Warrior of Light.” The stories he has to tell… Some are better told by the others who were there. At times, Gar can get caught up in what went wrong instead of focusing on the actual accomplishments.
I hope to try most if not all of the paths. I started with Thaumaturge and then went to Pugilist. Ranged magic versus physical melee… an interesting contrast. I just started exploring Marauder/Warrior. We’ll see how that goes for my first tanking experience.
I am also spending some time learning and improving my gathering and crafting skills.
As is sort of my nature, I’ve created a table of the classes and how to get there. The information in this table was collected from a variety of resources. I hope you find it helpful.
