And the journey continues… and continues…

Rauwrer here…

Working my way through Heavensword. This is a bit of a slog given the reduced experience. Compound it with the new jobs, and the fact that some of them start at level 30, it is going to take a while to get everything to level 60.

That said, it is still fun and I’m learning a lot! As you can see from the levels, I’ve been working on Paladin, Dark Knight, Monk, Dragoon, Bard, Machinist, and Summoner. (Scholar came along for the Summoner ride with the exception of the job quests.)

Dark Knight is my current effort. Leveling it from 30 to 60 is going to take a bit but it is moving along.

I’ve started playing around with Blue Mage some. That is a wild job. Learning spells partly by watching enemies cast them is something of an interesting challenge. I can’t imagine learning other jobs this way. I mean, advancing a Red mage purely by watching a battle? That’s just weird.

As I understand it, Gar is making progress on Blue Mage.

There are a number of things that make progress in Heavensward appear to be slower from a leveling perspective… It seems like you get less experience from the MSQ quests. You need to get through MSQ for some of the job quests because they occur in zones that gain access to later in Heavensward. And then there is the Aether Current fun. Yesterday, I took a break from Dark Knight and spent some time on crafting and Aether Current gathering.

I recently concentrated on Heavensward and got through the main content. I’m also starting to try to interleave DoH jobs with the DoW/DoM jobs so I don’t have several crafting only weeks.
