Well, I finally did it. I helped the Ishgardians with their troubles, and I’m now moving on to helping another group.
It has been something of a slog. Astrologian is an interesting job, and I’m still working to get my head around it. Lots to keep your eyes on. At this point, I’d say I’m a survivable AST, but not for at-level content. The times I tried running stuff near level 60, it didn’t turn out well.
A special thanks to all those random players I’ve run dungeons with, and especially those where we crashed and burned a few times.
I’m still struggling to figure out what the correct way to level like this is. Doing it like this definitely falls into the ranks of a jack of many trades and master of none. Of course, hanging around Gar has helped me with my physical ranged jobs.
Well, let me qualify that. It has helped me with Bard and Machinist. I’m not sure it is going to help me with Dancer.
And, yes, I picked up Dancer and Gunbreaker once I completed Heavensward.
Gar tried Gunbreaker early on and didn’t get the knack of it. I think it was partly due to that being his first tank and not understanding how tanks work. We’ll see how it goes, but the initial tries at Gunbreaker haven’t been that bad. I think I need to take some of my knowledge back to Gar. It is only fair due to the knowledge he shared with me.
Last but not least, here is the obligatory leveling graph. A fair portion of my recent time was spent in the Heavensward later content, and starting the Stormblood MSQ. And, of course, working on Astrologian.
