This is a guide because it is relevant to several other chocobo guides. To avoid replication, it has its own guide.
There are four ways to gain access to a stable:
- Join a Free Company (FC) with a house
- Most FCs with a house will have a stable on the grounds. If you visit the FC house and don’t see one, check. Sometimes they are hidden.
- Have a friend with a house let you be a “tenant” of the house.
- The house will need to have a stable.
- Houses can have up to 3 tenants.
- I don’t know if there are level requirements for a tenant.
- If you meet the requirements listed in “Buying an Apartment or House” below, then two other options open up:
- Buy an apartment (500,000 gil)
- The stable will be just outside the entrance.
- Buy a house (3,000,000+ gil and, on most worlds, and a lot of luck)
- In this case, you will need to buy a stable and put it in your yard.
- Buy an apartment (500,000 gil)
Out of these, the FC route is probably the best. There can be a lot of benefits to joining an FC. That said, each FC has its own personality and goals. It may be a challenge to find the right one for you. Explore them.
Buying an Apartment or House
To buy an apartment or a house, you need to be:
- Level 50 or higher
- Grand Company rank of Second Lieutenant or higher.
- If you have multiple characters in the same world in the same “service account,” only one can own a private house.
